Personalized Clinical Pathway with NanoKnife®

The clinical journey with NanoKnife is fully personalized and overseen by Dr. Richard Sioufi.

It all begins with a thorough evaluation: advanced medical imaging (such as a prostate MRI) and, if necessary, a targeted biopsy to map the tumour precisely. If the results confirm that NanoKnife® is indicated, Dr. Sioufi will develop a personalized treatment plan adapted to each patient's anatomy and situation. On the day of the procedure, performed under general anesthesia, Dr. Sioufi positions thin electrodes around the lesion using MRI-ultrasound fusion guidance.

In just a few minutes, electrical impulses are delivered to eliminate cancer cells without damaging the surrounding tissue. After the procedure, the patient is briefly monitored and can usually return home the same day. Dr. Sioufi and his team provide post-treatment monitoring: regular check-ups (exams, imaging, PSA) verify the success of the treatment and support the patient during recovery. Drawing on his expertise, Dr. Sioufi guides the patient every step of the way, providing reassuring, precise, and case-specific care.
