Bladder tumor resection is a crucial procedure to diagnose and treat bladder cancer by removing tumors from the bladder.

The Procedure

Bladder tumor resection, also called transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT), involves removing tumors from the bladder using a resectoscope inserted through the urethra. This minimally invasive procedure helps diagnose the stage and grade of cancer, and may also be therapeutic.
